Noted New Zealand garden photographer Yvonne Cave has done it again, with this extraordinarily beautiful book. There's something here for everyone, from novice to expert, from the familiar Desert Rose and Yucca to the exotic Lithops, which look like stones, or the "Bronze Sculpture" Kalanchoe. The stunning photos are accompanied by identifying text with basic cultivation information for hundreds of species. Those particularly interested in tropical succulents will find additional information in Tropical Ornamentals A Guide, as well as in Ornamental Plants & Flowers of Tropical Mexico.
I've got the book here, from the library, I want to purchase it, however, is stated that the hardcover version goes for $57.00 is totally erroneous - I'm looking at the price inside the jacket and its $29.95 - soooooo none of the "used" book are such a great deal here are they? As a review on the book - this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for, I'm a landscape designer, and I want to learn as many of these as possible, and with the incrdible photos here its very helpful and easy to flip to the ones I need to find - great having them alphabetically, a really easy to use reference manual, which is why I want it, but I think I'm gonna take my discount at Barnes and Noble and buy it new, I can only save maybe $1.00 here buying it used - doesnt make sense at all. I highly recommend getting this book wherever you can though!
